Mrs Anne Mitchener qualified in medicine from Cambridge (Downing College and New Addenbrooke’s Hospital). She undertook neurosurgical specialist training in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh becoming a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2002. Anne has over 25 years neurosurgical experience. Her first degrees were in Psychology at University College London and a PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry in drug abuse.

Anne has trained and worked internationally for example as a consultant in Norway 2002-6 returning to work at Kings College Hospital until 2009 when she became fully independent but continued a large NHS practice based in London and Surrey.



Her neurosurgical interests involve the whole spine cervical, thoracic and lumber, including new and minimally invasive techniques with and without instrumentation, including management of back and neck pain, referred arm and leg pain- investigation, injection and surgical treatment offered.

On a personal level, Mrs. Mitchener is married with two children. Notably, she is a polyglot and is able to speak French, Spanish, and Norwegian. Beyond her medical interests, her personal interests include travel, sport, opera, and ballet.
