    Cervical Smear Test

is a method of cervical screening used to detect potentially precancerous and cancerous processes in the cervix (opening of the uterus or womb). Abnormal findings are often followed up by more sensitive diagnostic procedures and if warranted, interventions that aim to prevent progression to cervical cancer.

    Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain is a pain in the area of the pelvis. Acute pain is more common than chronic pain. If the pain lasts for more than six months, it is deemed to be chronic pelvic pain. It can affect both women and men.

    Ovarian Cyst Treatment

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac within the ovary. Often they cause no symptoms. Occasionally they may produce bloating, lower abdominal pain, or lower back pain. The majority of cysts are harmless. If the cyst either breaks open or causes twisting of the ovary, it may cause severe pain. This may result in vomiting or feeling faint.

Risk scores predict the likely cyst type. The most recent risk scores are much better than RMI for identifying the type of cyst.

    Well-Woman Check

A well-woman examination is an exam offered to women to review elements of their reproductive health. It is recommended once a year for most women.

    HPV Vaccination

Human papillomavirus infection (HPV infection) is an infection by human papillomavirus (HPV).  Most HPV infections cause no symptoms and resolve spontaneously. In some people, an HPV infection persists and results in warts or precancerous lesions. The precancerous lesions increase the risk of cancer of the cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus, mouth, or throat.

    HPV Treatment

Although there’s no treatment for the HPV virus itself, treatments are available for its effects.

Most HPV infections don’t cause any serious harm and are cleared by your immune system within 2 years.
